Fresh off the buzz of her track "ruby" being featured as the ending theme for the January 2025 season of Secret Kenmin SHOW Extreme, and being selected for music outlet Spincoaster's SPOTLIGHT 2025 list of artists to watch, the remarkable singer-songwriter Sagiri Sól has released her long-awaited new song.
Featuring Ryohu, who has been active as a member of Zuttozuretellz and KANDYTOWN, the new track "lover boy feat. Ryohu" is a deeply relatable song that embraces the real and painful 'regret' found at the end of a clumsy love affair. Despite the heavy theme of "regret," the track commands attention with a unique worldview that only Sagiri Sól could express, conveyed through comical lyrics and a natural, organic sound.
While her previous 1st EP, "heat shock," was filled with up-tempo, energetic, pop-leaning tracks, this new single, "lover boy feat. Ryohu," is crafted with a more mature and composed mood. 'I should have done this,' or 'I shouldn't have said that'—we suffer from our own 'what ifs' and sometimes blame ourselves by imagining a different future. In 2016, as a member of KANDYTOWN, he released the 1st album KANDYTOWN via Warner Music Japan. He began his full-fledged solo career in 2017, releasing the EP Blur (2017) and Mixtape Ten Twenty (2018). His 2019 solo tour across five cities was a massive success. In 2020, he provided music for the GU×SOPH. collaboration "1MW by SOPH." and appeared in its campaign visuals. In November of that year, he released his 1st album DEBUT via Victor/SPEEDSTAR RECORDS, which included "The Moment," a track used in an App Store commercial.
