Billyrrom
・Profile
Formed in 2020 by members from Machida, Tokyo, Billyrrom creates next-generation pop music drawing from wide-ranging roots including SOUL, FUNK, and ROCK. Their nationwide tour, which toured 6 cities from February 2025 and concluded at Zepp Shinjuku, along with an additionally announced Taipei performance, sold out completely. They have been selected for "Fender NEXT" (chosen from over 1,000 entries), received the "New Artist of the Year Recommendation" at the 2024 NetEase Cloud Music Awards (China), and were picked for Spotify’s "RADAR: Early Noise 2025." In spring 2025, they performed at international festivals in Seoul, Xiamen, and Shanghai, and starting in February 2026, they will hold their first Asian tour covering 7 cities. The band name embodies their belief in cherishing a "mindset that doesn't drift" (inspired by their revered Bill Evans) and "fluidity in transmitting their music from various places" (inspired by the nomadic Romani people). Playing "Tokyo Transition Soul", a sound that continues to evolve into the next generation, their rapid advance to carve out a new era shows no signs of stopping.
