The second single from CIRQL, a collective jointly launched by Styrism Inc. and KSR Corporation to connect the music scenes of Japan and Asia, is set to be released.
Tokyo-based hip-hop soul artist SANDEI, who is attracting attention both in Japan and internationally, releases “One Step,” a danceable track with a 2step beat about continuing to take on the opportunities and hardships that have come his way every day. The lyrics reflect SANDEI’s own current state of mind.
Sound production is handled by “TIDY,” a sound producer who has attracted attention for achievements including winning the Grand Prix in a remix contest hosted by SURF Music. Looking back even to SANDEI’s days under his former name “sangdei,” the track features what can be considered his first UK garage-like 2STEP beat.
SANDEI has previously released easy-listening tracks in a hip-hop/R&B style, but with this track featuring an aggressive dance beat, listeners will be able to experience a new musical side of SANDEI.
