Sagiri Sól Releases Her First New Single in Nine Months! The mid-tempo ballad “next to your love,” produced by SPENSR, will be available for streaming from Wednesday, August 5!

Japan

Singer-songwriter Sagiri Sól, who had temporarily suspended her activities due to vocal cord nodules, released her new single “next to your love” on Wednesday, August 5, approximately nine months after the release of “dead end love” in November 2025.

Produced by SPENSR, the track is a mid-tempo ballad incorporating elements of Neo Soul. With programmed elements kept to a minimum and a warm arrangement centered around live instrumentation, the song allows listeners to fully experience Sagiri Sól’s expansive and powerful vocals.

The lyrics center on the love received from someone important, portraying the journey of moving forward while carrying feelings of loss and regret, with that love held close. Using the phrase “next to your love” as a symbolic motif, the song expresses the desire not to overcome a farewell, but to continue living with the love that was received, and for that love to continue illuminating one’s life.

Furthermore, starting with this release, Sagiri Sól plans to release a new song every month through the end of the year, gradually unveiling works toward a new phase.

On Saturday, September 26, Sagiri Sól is scheduled to perform at “BACK TO MY ROOTS featuring Sagiri Sól” at TimeOut Café & Diner.

Sagiri Sól Comment

I wrote this song before I developed vocal cord nodules in May. After taking two months off, when I listened to the song again, I felt that it reflected exactly what I had been feeling during that time.

While I was taking a break, I connected with many people and experienced so much love.
No matter how much sadness or how many farewells may await us, our lives continue moving forward without stopping. That is why I want to live while carrying with me all the love I have received. And I believe that love will surely illuminate the life ahead of me. I wrote this song with those feelings in mind.

I hope this song can bring even a little comfort to someone’s heart.
