CIRQL, the collective connecting the music scenes of Japan and Asia jointly launched by Styrism Inc. and KSR Corp, will release its third single.
Shawn, a 26-year-old emerging singer-songwriter from Kanagawa, will release his new single. The words “Your” and “My” in the title “Your/My...” literally mean “your...” and “my...,” respectively. The song embodies the image of two different feelings—“you and me”—coming together to become one “Your/My....”
The lyrics also reflect Shawn’s desire to express feelings for someone special in a way that allows listeners to relate from either perspective—“you” or “me”—as well as his hope to create a song that naturally brings scenes to mind as you listen.
Musically, the track is built around a smooth R&B groove, layered with Lo-Fi textures and the sounds of various instruments. By blending sounds created by human hands with digital sounds, the track reflects the “coexistence of analog and digital,” an expression made possible precisely in today’s era.
